This Privacy Policy explains how We Love Spells ("We Love Spells", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you visit https://welovespells.net (the "Site"), place an order, contact us, or otherwise use our private digital ritual services (the "Services").
We are based in South Africa and process personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 ("POPIA"). Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply.
1. Personal information we collect
Information you provide directly
We may collect:
Your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, country or region, and account details.
Order details, the Services selected, transaction information, and communications concerning your order.
Information you voluntarily provide so that we can personalize a ritual, such as names, dates of birth, photographs, locations, intentions, and a description of your situation.
Messages, questions, reviews, feedback, and customer-support correspondence.
Marketing preferences, including whether you have agreed to receive promotional emails.
Information about another person
If you provide personal information about another person, you must ensure that you are legally permitted to provide it. Please provide only information that is relevant and reasonably necessary for the Service you requested. Do not send intimate images, identity documents, financial information, medical records, or other unnecessary sensitive material.
Information supplied for a personalized ritual is used only to understand and perform the requested Service, communicate with you, maintain necessary business records, protect our rights, and comply with legal obligations. We do not publish customer photographs, names, private situations, or ritual details without permission.
Payment and transaction information
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers such as Shopify and PayPal. These providers process payment-card, bank, billing, fraud-prevention, and transaction information under their own privacy policies. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card number.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, Shopify and permitted service providers may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, time zone, cookie identifiers, pages and products viewed, referring website, search terms, cart activity, approximate location, and how you interact with the Site.
2. How we use personal information
We may use personal information to:
Provide, personalize, and complete the Services you order.
Process payments, confirm orders, prevent fraud, and maintain transaction records.
Communicate with you about your order and send your private ritual update.
Respond to questions, provide customer support, and help you choose an appropriate Service.
Operate, secure, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve the Site and our Services.
Send marketing communications where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Comply with legal, accounting, tax, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and enforce our policies.
3. Legal grounds for processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information:
To perform a contract with you, including providing the Service you ordered.
With your consent, including for certain marketing and non-essential cookies.
To comply with legal obligations.
For legitimate business interests, such as operating and securing the Site, preventing fraud, improving our Services, providing support, and protecting our legal rights, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
4. How we share personal information
We may share personal information only as reasonably necessary with:
Shopify, which hosts and operates our online store. You can read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy.
Payment providers, such as PayPal, to process payments, prevent fraud, and manage transactions.
Email, hosting, security, analytics, advertising, and technical service providers that help us operate the Site, communicate with customers, understand Site performance, or promote our Services.

A successor or buyer if our business or assets are reorganized, merged, or transferred, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
Service providers may use personal information only for the services they provide to us or as otherwise permitted by their own legal obligations. We do not permit service providers to publish your private ritual information.
5. Advertising, analytics, and data sharing choices
We may use analytics and advertising technologies to understand Site traffic, measure campaigns, and show relevant advertising. Depending on your location, some disclosures of device or browsing information for targeted advertising may legally be described as "sharing", "selling", or "targeted advertising", even though we do not sell personal information for money.
Where required, we will ask for consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies. You can use the cookie banner or data-sharing opt-out tools displayed on the Site, where available, and you can also manage cookies through your browser settings.
6. Cookies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies required for storefront functions such as navigation, account login, shopping-cart operation, secure checkout, fraud prevention, preferences, and Site performance. With consent where required, we may also use analytics or advertising cookies.
Cookies may be session cookies, which expire when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Site or checkout from working correctly.
For more information about cookies used by Shopify-powered stores, see Shopify's Cookie Policy.
7. Marketing communications
We will send promotional emails only where permitted by applicable law. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary order, service, security, or legal communications.
8. International transfers
We are based in South Africa and serve customers worldwide. Shopify and other service providers may process personal information in countries outside South Africa or outside your country of residence, including countries whose data-protection laws may differ from yours. Where required, we and our service providers use lawful safeguards for international transfers.
9. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Services, maintaining business and transaction records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements.
Retention periods depend on the type of information, why it was collected, the sensitivity and risk involved, and applicable legal requirements. When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it where reasonably practicable.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no online transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use secure methods when sending personal details and do not send unnecessary sensitive information.
11. Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
Ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access to it.
Ask us to correct or update inaccurate information.
Request deletion of personal information, subject to lawful retention requirements.
Object to or request restriction of certain processing.
Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
Request a portable copy of certain information.
Opt out of marketing communications or certain targeted-advertising data sharing.

To exercise your rights, email info@welovespells.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. These rights may be limited where we must retain information to comply with law, complete a transaction, prevent fraud, protect another person's rights, or establish or defend legal claims.
12. Children
The Site and Services are intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
13. Third-party websites
The Site may link to websites or services operated by third parties. Their privacy and security practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for those practices.
14. Changes to this Policy
